Backstein-Häuser und Villen im spanische Stil stehen in sauberen ,
gepflegten Straßen. Hier wohnt auch Mexicos und Südamerikas größter Star,
Luis Miguel.Das weiße, zweistöckige Haus, hinter Gittern und grünen Bäumen versteckt, ist ein unglaublicher Kontrast zum Milieu der vielen Bettelkinder, die halbnackt und barfuß ein paar Straßen weiter Kaugummi oder Blumen verkaufen oder um ein paar Pesos in ihre hungrigen Hände gesteckt haben wollen. Sie haben aber alle von LUIS MIGUEL gehört. Für sie ist er längst der " Latin Elvis". BRAVO wurde nach Mexico eingeladen, wo der 15-jährige Star mit seinen Eltern Luis Gallego ( Luis REY war sein Name als Künstler), Mutter Marcela, Bruder Alejandro(12Jahre) und Bruder Sergio ( 18 Monate) lebt. Ein Onkel, und eine Tante und deren zwei Kinder versichern, dass immer viel Aktion im Gallego-Haus herrscht, Luis` Mutter und sein ganz kleiner Bruder sind zur Zeit in Madrid, wo die Gallegos ein zweites Haus besitzen. Der 1,74 m große, schlanke doch muskulöse Luis ist derzeit auf einer ausverkauften Konzert-Tournee durch Mexico und Südamerika. Am Abend vor unserem Besuch erlebten wir Luis im Club "Jubile", wo eintausend Fans in den Gängen und auf dem Balkon versammelt waren. Die Show lief kurz vor Mitternacht bis 2 Uhr morgens .Das Publikum konnte nicht genug kriegen. Luis ´Songs "Me gustas tal como eres " ( Ich mag dich so wie du bist) und "Palabra de honor " ( Ehrenwort) brachte sie alle auf die Füße. Als das BRAVO-Team um ein Uhr mittags bei ihm klingelte, kommt ein etwas verschlafener Luis mit nassen, glatten Haaren aus der Dusche, die Marmortreppen herunter. Er trägt einen weiten, gelben Pulli, der seine grünbraunen Augen gut zur Geltung bringt. Seine Hände hat er lässig in seine weißen Hosentaschen gesteckt. " Verzeiht mit, aber ich konnte heute früh erst um 6 Uhr ins Bett kommen, und ich bin normalerweise ein Morgenmuffel", sagt er. Heute ist vom Morgenmuffel nicht zu merken. Zum Thema Freundin sagt er: " Ich habe keine Feste. Es kommt schon öfters bei meinen Auftritten vor, dass mir ein Mädchen gefällt. Aber bevor ich an sie rankonnte, werde ich , wie immer, von meinen Leuten umringt, und sie ist dann verschwunden". Aber ganz ohne Mädchen lebt er nicht. Wenn er in Urlaub geht, findet er meist ein Girl, das er zum Tanzen einladen kann. Das letzte Mal war es in Rio de Janeiro, wo er drei romantische Tage in einem wunderschöne, versteckten Nest am weißen Sonnenstrand verbracht. Aber auch da gibt`s Hindernisse: Als ich unten in der Hotel-Disco tanzen wollte, fand ich mich plötzlich von fünf Hotel-Sicherheitsmännern umringt, die voller Ernst sogar auf der Tanzfläche ihre Aufgabe, mich zu beschützen, erfüllten und in ihren Geschäftsanzügen munter mitrockten." In den letzten vier Jahren hat es Luis bereits zu sechs Gold-, sechs Platin- und einer Doppelplatin-LP gebracht, aber wie viel Geld hat er in der Tasche ? "Nicht einen Pfennig". Klingt übertrieben, ist aber wahr. "Da ich, wo immer ich hingehe, in Begleitung bin, zahlen die für alles, was ich brauche oder bestelle. Ich brauche mich um nichts zu kümmern." DAGMAR DUNLEVY

The two-story house, is hidden behind an iron gate and green trees, and it marks an incredible contrast with the environment of the many poor children, that almost naked and shoeless sell chewing gum or flowers in the not too far streets for only few pesos that his hungry hands wish to receive. But all of them have heard something about Luis Miguel. For them Luis Miguel is their permanent "Latin Elvis". The magazine "Bravo" was invited to Mexico where the fifteen year old star lives with his father, Luis Gallego (Luis Rey was his artistic name), his mother, Marcela, his brother Alejandro (12 years old) and his brother Sergio (18 months old). An uncle and an aunt and their two children make sure there is lots of action in the Gallego's residence. Luis Miguel's mother and his younger brother are in Madrid at this time, where the Gallego's own a second home. Luis Miguel 1:74 M. tall, thin but muscular. At this moment Luis is in the middle of tours with all sold out tickets, throughout Mexico and South America. At night, before our interview, we enjoyed a concert Luis Miguel gave at the "Jubile" club..where thousands of fans got together at the balcony. The show which seemed short..ran up to 2:00 am. The fans couldn't get enough of it. The songs "Me Gustas Tal Como Eres" and "Palabra de Honor" did the audience to dance. When the Bravo team at 1:00 PM knocked on Luis Miguel's home, he walked down in marble stairs, somewhat still sleepy, with his nose and hair still wet from the shower. Luis Miguel was wearing a yellow sweater that highlited his green/hazel eyes. Luis Miguel kept his hands in his pant pockets. " I apologize, he said but today I was able to go to sleep until 6:00 am, usually I am grumpy in the morning , he added". Today, nothing is to see about that. Let's talk about "girlfriends"...Luis Miguel says he does not have a formal one. Frequently, it has to do with my tours and/or concerts, there maybe a girl I like, but before I can contact her...I find myself surrounded, as usual, by all kinds of people and she has disappeared. However, he is not totally distanced from girls. When he goes on vacation, most of the time, he finds a girl to whom he asked to dance with him. This happened the last time when he was in Rio de Janeiro, where he spent three romantic days in a marvelous hidden place in a sunny white beach. But also here I found obstacles: "When I wanted to dance at the disco downstairs in the hotel, all of the sudden I found myself surrounded by five bodyguards in charged of the hotel's security, who in turn were in charged to protect me while at the disco. In the last four years, Luis has received six gold records, six platinum and an LP double platinum, but how much money does he have in his pockets? "Not a penny" - wherever I go...there is enough money to pay for everything I need or I want. I don't ever worry about this, somebody else does.

La casa blanca de dos pisos, que se esconde atrás de la barandilla y árboles verdes, constituye un increíble contraste con el MILIEU de muchos niños pobres, que casi desnudos y descalzos venden chicles o flores en calles aledañas y que por algunos pesos / quieren recibir algo en sus manos hambrientas. Pero todos ellos sí han escuchado algo sobre Luis Miguel. Para ellos, él es su permanente “Elvis Latino”. La revista BRAVO fue invitada a México, donde el estrella quinceañero vive con su padre Luis Gallego (Luis REY era su nombre artístico), su madre Marcela, su hermano Alejandro (12 años) y su hermano Sergio (18 meses). Un tío, una tía y sus dos hijos aseguran que siempre hay mucha acción en la casa de los Gallego, La madre de Luis y sus dos pequeños hermanos se encuentran en este momento en Madrid, donde los Gallego poseen una segunda casa. El 1,74 m de altura , delgado pero musculoso Luis, se encuentra en estos momentos en un Tour de conciertos con pases agotados, a través de México y Sudamérica. Por la noche, antes de nuestra visita, disfrutamos de Luis en el club “Jubile”, donde mil fans se congregaron en el balcón. El show corrió corto antes de la media noche hasta las 2 horas de la madrugada. El público no pudo luchar lo suficiente. Las canciones de Luis “Me gustas tal como eres” y “Palabra de honor” pusieron a todos a bailar. Cuando el equipo de BRAVO, a la una de la tarde, toco el timbre de su casa, bajo las escaleras de mármol un algo dormido Luis, con la nariz y el cabello húmedo de la ducha. Él traía puesto un suéter amarillo, que hacía relucir sus ojos entre verdes y cafés. Sus manos las introdujo a las bolsas blancas de sus pantalones. “Discúlpenme, pero hoy me pude ir a la cama a penas a las 6 horas de la mañana y yo soy normalmente un zombie por las mañanas”, dijo. Hoy no esta así. Sobre el tema novia dice él que no tiene una fija. Con frecuencia tiene que ver con mis actuaciones, en las que una chica me gusta. Pero antes de que logre acercármele, me rodeo, como siempre, de gente y entónces ella ya desapareció. Pero él no vive totalmente alejado de las chicas. Cuando el va de vacaciones encuentra casi siempre una chica a la que el puede invita a bailar. La última vez sucedió en Rio de Janeiro, donde el paso tres románticos días en un maravilloso oculto lugar en la soleada playa blanca. Pero aquí también hay obstáculos: Cuando yo quise bailar abajo en la disco del Hotel, de repente me encontré rodeado por cinco sujetos encargados de la seguridad del hotel, quienes cumplieron la tarea de protegerme en la pista de la disco. En los últimos cuatro años Luis ha recibido seis discos de oro, seis de platino y un disco LP de doble platino, pero ¿cuanto dinero tiene el en su bolsa? “No un centavo”. “Ahí, donde yo siempre voy, alcanza para todo lo que necesito o pido. Yo no necesito encargarme de nada”.
